I manage a nonprofit website with HostGator, and having refused sitelock on the site, I'm bombarded by hundreds of 'alerts' that go directly into my Spam folder (having been recognized by Gmail as spam, not by me). As a result of poor experience with HostGator, I went with BlueHost for some personal websites.

Everything went well with BlueHost for a couple of years, and then I received an email from BlueHost concerning an 'completed order' for sitelock at no cost. I did NOT order anything, and certainly not this 'service' of spammers. I had to use BlueHost chat to get rid of it, but I'm not convinced I'm rid of this. I'm sure that sitelock will now have my email addresses and spam me hundreds of times a week about 'alerts.' My BlueHost renews next month, so I'm going to look for another host that DOES NOT work with sitelock!

Is there one out there? I hope so.

I don't trust a company that automatically 'orders' sitelock - or any others service - for my websites w/o my knowledge or authority. This is wrong.

Reason of review: Unauthorized ordering of services for my websites.

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
